Saturday Sharing: Brands Using Instagram Ads

Another link I came across from seeing a traffic referral from their site, I found this article had some great examples of brands who are using Instagram ads to generate more leads and business.

Yes, you can purchase ads with Instagram in addition to just posting images and text with your photos.  Some names of companies that are using Instagram ads in the UK are: Mercedez-Benz and Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream.

Check out Econsultancy's post on How brands are using Instagram ads for more information.

Saturday Sharing: Happy Birthday to Me!

It's my birthday - I won't say how old I am, just will say mid 30's.

That being said, I still have posts scheduled for the day, but would also like to say, if you wish to support my blogs, please do one of two things.

First thing to support: You can buy the first book published by Anne Saucer and myself called Think Happy Club: Friendship.

Or you can contribute to my Patreon, found here: https://www.patreon.com/kayhynn?ty=h&u=479974

Thanks and hope you have a great day!

Thursday Tutorial: UPDATED: How to Find the Activity Log

More than a year ago, we posted a Tutorial on how to Find the Activity Log within Facebook. Just like a few other tutorials we had to update due to changes with Facebook, this one also has been updated.

The you can view and edit your pending posts, schedule posts, expire posts, view drafts and more from the "Publishing Tools" menu found at the top of your page, as seen below.

When you click on "Publishing Tools," this page will load.

If you have drafts, a post scheduled or posts expiring, you will see a number to the far right of those terms showing you how many posts you have waiting.

If you click on any of those terms and they are empty, it will simply load the appropriate page while telling you that there are no pending posts.

If you have a pending post, you'll see this:

If you click on the post, a screen will pop up like this:

You can edit the post, or chose other options from the drop down menu, including remove scheduled post, post now, etc.

So if you haven't used the new Publishing Tools option, you might want to check it out.

Thursday Tutorials are a series of tutorials designed to help people who may not be as Facebook savvy as other people.  Some tutorials will be targeted towards newbies to the social media world, others will include tutorials for more advanced users.  Thursday Tutorials are written for the layman and are designed with everyone in mind.  You can find all the Thursday Tutorials by clicking on the Thursday Tutorials tag below.

Wednesday Words: Conversions

A few weeks ago we talked about Clickthrough Rate (CTR). Today's term, conversions, is a similar term to CTR that is used by social media marketing folks. A conversion is an action that demonstrates a visitor is "converting" to a customer. That means the person has taken an action, such as liking your page, clicking on an "action" item to purchase, etc.

Keep in mind, sales aren't the only thing that counts in conversions. Your action item could be getting people to sign up for a webinar or newsletter, download a free ebook or other content, sign up for a forum, fill out a form for a contest etc.

Tracking conversions is important for analyzing social media and allowing revenue to be properly attributed to social media campaigns and social media in general.

Wednesday Words are a series of definitions released on Wednesday each week regarding a word found specific to Facebook's social media platform, or may be a generic word dealing with social media. These definitions are to help provide you with a better understanding of common and uncommon terms associated with Facebook and social media. You can find all the Wednesday Words by clicking on the Wednesday Words tag below.

Tuesday Tips: Proof is in the Pudding

We've talked many times in the past that quality content and conversations with current and prospective customers is more important than a large quantity of posts - and this is very true. Today's post talks a bit more about that - with the proof being in the pudding, as the saying goes.

You need to write and share interesting and amazing content that your followers will be inclined to share - either because they like it, found it useful or think others will find it useful.

It is important that if you are making certain claims about your product that you can provide proof of what you are claiming. You also need to establish that your brand is the authority in what you are talking about.

This takes time, but providing consistent, quality posts, images, videos, etc. will eventually establish these factors and help your brand and social media along in the future.

Tuesday Tips are a series of tips released on Tuesday each week regarding a hint or tip to help you manage and market your Facebook presence better.  You can find all the Tuesday Tips by clicking on the Tuesday Tips tag below.
