The Monday Search: Job Listings as of 06/07/2015

There are many jobs available out there for people knowledgeable about Social Media, but sometimes finding the job isn't easy.

Don't worry! Each week (when I have time) I will be featuring 3-5 jobs currently available as of Monday. Additional sites will be linked at the very bottom of the article and listed as sources. Other sites may be listed as well.

Global Press Journal is hiring a Social Media communities Manager in San Francisco, California

Responsibilities:
  • Develop social media strategy for each platform, integrating key styles and messaging of the company
  • Create daily, weekly and monthly editorial and content calendars to design social media posts across all relevant communities based on the featured news items on Global Press Journal 
  • Manage all content and comments across our social sites: Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Tumblr etc.
  • Build engaged audiences across all major social channels
  • Identify target readers and global influencers who can promote and engage with the content, while driving brand awareness
  • Develop online engagement tools to drive awareness and readership
  • Develop social media and blog calendar that integrates important internal and external messaging and events
  • Stay on top of social and digital media trends and viral technology to easily enable readers to engage about our news. Recommend changes as needed.
  • Produce weekly and monthly engagement reports to measure the impact and return of social media on overall Marketing and PR efforts

Requirements:
  • 2+ years using social media tools in a business environment 
  • Deep familiarity with how news organizations leverage social media networks
  • Experience developing promotions that drive engagement and reader loyalty 
  • Knowledge of social media systems and best practices

The Gemological Institute of America Inc., is hiring a Social Media Manager in Carlsbad, California

Responsibilities:
Strategy & Planning:
  • Manages GIA’s blogging program and the Institute’s presence on social networking sites including Facebook, YouTube, Google+, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Weibo, Sinablog, Youku, Twitter, and other similar community sites, posting and seeding content into social applications as needed.
  • Develops comprehensive social media strategies (content, amplification, and syndication) as well as tactical plans that align with GIA marketing and corporate communication objectives and Institute goals.
Content
  • Coordinates and champions the efforts of an interdepartmental team of subject matter experts and content producers to identify and develop timely, relevant, and high performing social content that tracks to strategy and plan.
  • Responsible for all aspects of project management including: stakeholder management, translation management, scheduling, logistics, concept creation, story boarding and team coordination as well as external vendors to execute assets from concept to completion.
Community Management

Requirements:
Technical Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):
  • Demonstrated success in designing and managing social marketing campaigns on Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pintrest, Google+ and Facebook.
  • Must have recent experience as a Social Media Manager within a similar sized or larger organization. 
  • Experience running social campaigns in non-US markets, China and India preferred.
  • Working knowledge of SEO principles, including keyword research. Highly knowledgeable in the principles of “Search and Social”.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to write creative content for blogs and social media.
  • Metrics-driven and familiarity with Google Analytics or other web analytics tools preferred. 
  • Strong project management skills and adept with working on simultaneous projects at different stages.
  • Experience in the Luxury Goods industry preferred.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, public relations, or a related communications field. MBA in marketing or related field preferred. 
  • Minimum of 7 years of multi-channel digital marketing experience with hands-on experience in B2C social media marketing. Minimum 3 years management experience in social media and or content marketing.
  • Must have recent experience as a Social Media Manager within a similar sized or larger organization.

The Adidas Group is seeking a Manager Social Strategy and Community Management (Soccer) in Portland, Oregon

Responsibilities:
  • Develop the overall social staregy for category, working closely with global colleagues and local Brand Comms & Digital leads to ensure strategic alignment.
  • Manage the publishing, moderation and ongoing engagement of all relevant category social platforms in partnership with the Assistant Moderation & Enagement Manager.
  • Follow the global launch plans around key stories and content for the brand digital platforms – provide input to global team on local / regional adjustments needed
