Thursday Tutorials: Finding Twitter Statistics

Have you ever wondered how many people see and interact with your tweets?  There's an easy way to do that.

Just like Facebook has a way for you to see your page's statistics, you can see your statistics with Twitter. Once logged in to your Twitter account, click on the Settings gear to get the following drop down menu.

From this menu, click on Twitter Ads.  This should load the following page, whether or not you have purchased ads for your tweets.

That will generate this page, which will have content on it if you have ads purchased.  I don't have ads purchased so we don't have to worry about that.

Click on the Analytics drop down to get the following menu:

For the purpose of this exercise, we're only going to look at Tweet activity, so click on that to load this page:

This page can be broken down into three main sections.  The Tweet Activity Chart, Engagement Charts and individual tweet statistics.

Tweet Activity Chart gives you a quick summary as well as a bar graph of how visible your tweets have been.  For example, mine had a recent sudden jump in impressions and engagement.

It also compares how you're doing in the past 28 days to the previous 28-day period.  Pretty useful statistics there.

The next section is the Engagements Chart, found to the right of the individual tweet statistics.  I didn't include all of the charts, but there are several different ones here measuring different levels of user engagement with your tweets over the past 28 days.

The last area you'll want to pay attention to is your individual tweets.

This chart will show you how many times someone has seen a post (Impressions) how many times someone favorited, replied to or retweeted (engagement), and the percentage rate of engagement.

Now you've learned how to monitor your impact with your Tweets!
