If you have a physical location - store, restaurant, etc. - there is a good chance that you have a generically created Facebook Place already there and waiting for you to claim it. You may even have fans already.
Search for yourself on Facebook before you attempt to create a page for your business. If you find your company as a Facebook Place, follow the steps to go about claiming the page, then take it over and run it as you would a typical Facebook Page.
The nice thing about Facebook Place, customers can check into it from Facebook and leave reviews.

Tuesday Tips: Respond to Messages
Today's tip is a pretty obvious one, but some page admins may forget to do this.
When your customers/fans message you (if you have the option for them to message you available), be sure to respond to them. This shows you care about your customers and is a great way to offer quality customer service and build relationships outside of normal business hours. Not to mention it shows that you care about their input which can help build customer bases when they tell their friends about the positive and fast reply they received from you.
Replying to messages isn't just limited to the private message feature. When a customer posts something to your wall, be sure to address it as well.
